There have been people desperately trying to hack into our site for months now. It is not the NSA, CIA, or other government entity. They would rather have us up to get access to forecasting than down. The source has been private and it correlates to when stories are posted about a certain organization. The attack yesterday was the plain vanilla denial of service approach. This is all to do what? Stop us from publishing about entities in NYC?
We will have additional measures in place by the end of the week to these sorts of attacks to silence reports that are obviously hitting too close to home.
