A North Korean diplomat was just caught by customs officers in Bangladesh for trying to smuggle almost 60 pounds of gold into the country worth $1.7 million. He claimed Diplomatic Immunity, but they still confiscated the gold. This is illustrating the entire problem we have today in modern times trying to transport gold as they use to do decades ago. Interesting how this is leading to diamonds and paper. But then again, a man on a train in Italy was searched on his way to Zurich and found to have a briefcase full of bonds. OOPS! He too had to say goodbye to his money. Then there was the Italian case of searching a man finding $135 billion in bonds. That haul they said was all fake.
