The White House has to be missing its former head of propaganda, Jen Psaki. The new White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to face off against Fox’s Peter Doocy and failed epically. Jean-Pierre, who could not look away from her note cards, insisted Americans feel better about their financial situation than they did in the past.
“But to the point about the — you’re saying that people feel good about their personal financial situation. High gas prices, people can’t get baby formula, the supply chain is messed up, everything is more expensive. Where’s the good part?” Doocy questioned.
Failing to come up with a valid answer besides a cherry-picked survey, Jean-Pierre insisted Americans have not felt this optimistic about their financial security since 2013. Doocy rebutted, “Newer than 2013, 61 percent are saying now, in this Wall Street Journal poll, they are generally pessimistic about people having an opportunity to achieve the American Dream. How’s that going look on a — on a bumper sticker?”
Jean-Pierre rambled on that the Biden Administration empathizes with the people before outright lying. “What we’re trying to say, what I’m trying to say to you is that the economy is in a better place than it has been historically,” she said aloud. We just experienced a contraction during Q1, inflation is at a 40-year high, gas is unaffordable, and the American Dream is now a legendary myth. But sure, the economy is better than it has been historically if we are comparing it to Great Depression.
