The polls show that the public distrusts the mainstream press. That is one poll they do not report because it is about them. The media generally dismisses any poll on themselves, chalking it up to “shooting the messenger” for reporting. But the question of Trump at the debate has a lot of people really writing off the press as having no credibility. The tone is shifting very negatively about the press, and that is something they will not report.
