Paul Douglas was an American economist. His early publications include Theory of Wages (1834), Real Wages in the US (1830), and American in the Market Place (1852). In his statistical work, he tested Clark’3 marginal productivity theory of distribution. Best remembered for the development of the Cobb-Douglas production function with Charles E Cobb.
