Zeno & Leo Caesars

Zeno and Leo Caesars Solidus Tremissis

There is no recorded history to identify who exactly Zeno and Leo Caesars were. Based upon the style and one altered die  of a gold tremissis, it appears that they were probably the younger brothers of Marcus, sons of Basiliscus. They were most likely left to die with their family on the order of Zeno.
