Sick leave in Europe has risen to highest level in 20 years. In the first half of 2016, sick leave in Germany has reached the highest level in about 20 years. Almost 40 percent of workers were on sick leave at least once during this period. It appears that the Refugee issue is creating a side-effect where the number one reason on the rise for sick-leave is now mental suffering.
